Castello di Querceto, Chianti Classico 2020

The castle of Querceto takes its name from the forest oaks which surround the old fortified walls. Nestled in the rolling hills of Tuscany, Castello di Querceto have been producing wines known for their elegance, quality and character for over 100 years. Their Chianti Classico 2020 is made from 100% Sangiovese, matured in oak for 10 months and then 1 year in bottle prior to release. Notes of ripe cherry, raspberry and oak are present on the nose which move to flavours of sweet spices, more tangy red fruit and a hint of vanilla on the soft palate. A superb, extremely food-friendly Chianti; equally great with a steak or roasted poultry.
